Let your Playing be the Hook

Your real performance, drawn in light.

Videos for guitar creators

Skip the clickbait.

Limn Guitar lets the music carry the post. Every note you play is drawn in light, straight from your own take. Pick striking looks for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, or teaching looks with note names on the fretboard and coloured intervals.

Every note, written down.

Each video comes with a transcription of the same take: notation and tab, chord names and rhythm. It arrives as a MusicXML file that opens in Dorico, MuseScore or Guitar Pro, ready to become the PDF for your students, your Patreon or your course.

The opening bars in guitar notation with tab underneath, chords E minor, A minor, B minor, G major 7, then E minor, D7, B7, E minor.
The same take, written out. Bars 1 to 8.Bars 1 to 4.

Film a month in an afternoon.

Record ten pieces in one sitting and send them together. They come back as a finished set, in one look or a different one for each post.

You send

Takes filmed in one go, with your fretting hand in view, and the sound as you recorded it.

You get

Each video with your own sound, and its notation and tab as MusicXML.

About

I’m Ruben Bernges, a jazz and fusion guitarist. For years I edited lessons and wrote transcriptions for PianoGroove, an online jazz piano school. I also planned and edited 63 YouTube Shorts for them, which have gotten over 3 million views.

Limn Guitar is that same work, refined: performance videos and transcriptions for guitar teachers and creators, to the same standard and delivered sooner.

Every performance on this site is my own playing.
